I wrote this poem as spring was approaching in my part of the world.
I reside in the south of Western Australia, which is a very picturesque and tranquil place. In this busy and complex world that we live in today, we do not always notice the beauty of our surroundings.
But in this beautiful little village one can see beauty everywhere.
So this poem "The Spring of Life" is just as I see it.

THE SPRING OF LIFE
I heard the call of spring
as I wend my way through
misty mountains and leafy glens
and I touched the willow trees
that softly bend
a mantle of green that seemed to flow
from field to field
embracing every living thing
in this season of spring
my private world of solitude
a bower of bliss I could not resist
like two lovers who kiss
and behind this veil
metamorphose cast its spell
life reborn again
in this time of spring
and at the rosy fingered dawn
a lone swallow
nestled on the bough
and then began to sing
for it too had found the spring
the spring of life
