Despite the fact that we at the Friends have some outstanding debt, on the purchase of Twin Creeks, the debt being owed to members of the group, we have decided to take things to the next step.  It has always been our aim not only to save the bush on this wonderful property for future generations but also for Twin Creeks to be used and enjoyed by all.

With this in mind over the last few weeks we have put out five different colour walking signs on five different walks and in the future it is our aim to put up information signs so that people can know, especially people like me, just what plant they are actually looking at.  We have also got our first barbecue down there, so you can see that we are starting to make Twin Creeks people friendly.

Next year in about April we are going to pay a visit to some of the schools in the Denmark, Plantagenet and Albany Shires, with a hope that in time we can get all the schools in these Shires to use Twin Creeks as a classroom and perhaps even revegetate a small area of the 111ha that was farmland just as Tafe did this year.

Of course they will also have the other 400 ha of bush to look at, to learn from or to just enjoy.

Our next big project is to establish a 153 square metre information and visitor centre at Twin Creeks and with this in mind we made a building application to the Plantagenet Shire.  This was heard at the Ordinary Council Meeting last Tuesday the 23rd of November and all councillors had no hesitation in passing our application, with a vote of  8 / 0.

It is now up to us at the Friends to raise the necessary finance to make this happen.
